KUF is home
to the following programs:
Project Red
Light
raises awareness of the dangers when confronted by strangers or not s strangers
with bad intentions. This program was developed to inform and prepare
children and parents on how to prevent situations of child abduction.
Through seminars and hands-on activities, including special self-defense
instruction from certified ATA Karate and Jiu Jitsu instructors we teach
children to be empowered and recognize the signs of danger and or trouble.
We help build self-esteem, which is essential in a child’s development and
reaction when put in said situation.
Our experience has taught us that students
learn about the importance of giving strangers the Red Light with the help of actual martial arts
“strangers” teaching the course. We also know that the children are very
receptive to information coming from impressive multi-level Black Belt
Instructor as opposed to instruction from a familiar individual. After
this seminar, we feel the children are better equipped to handle Red Light situations.
Seminars are presented throughout schools,
private or public, in Miami-Dade and Broward counties, and are free of
charge. If you would like more information or to schedule our
professionals to visit your school or organization, parent night, or special
event, please contact us at: 1-305-229-5080 or email us at: HelenF@kidsunitedfoundation.org.

Don't wait
until it's too late. This Course can save your child's life. Road
Accidents are the #1 Killer of our Teens today!
The Official Race Course has brought the
area's first Teen Survival Course. This academy for young drivers has
been designed to ensure the best results for minting safer teen and young adult
drivers. At ORS' Teen Survival Course we address issues that are
important for teens as they enter today's world of driving. As it turns out a
youngster dies everyday on our Florida Roads and a car crash occurs every 16
seconds in which a Teen is involved. All of our instructors are S.C.C.A.
and /or N.A.S.A. licensed and posse the track and off track experience
necessary to improve your teen’s chances of avoiding and/or surviving a
dangerous situation on our roads.
We offer private coaching and lessons and
guarantee your experience will change your perception of driving forever.
This is an investment in your child's future that will educate, inform and
provide comprehensive behind the wheel car control techniques for all
drivers. We know the attention span of most of our teens is limited at
best, so we try to keep classroom time down to a minimum and try to maximize
the hands on vehicle and skid control exercises. Our program is not limited to teens; any adult that feels
they can benefit from this program is more than welcome. Parents are
encouraged to take the course with their child.
Let us arm your child with the driving
experience they need to survive on today's roads. Stay tuned for the time
and date of the next clinic.

KUF Kids Get Fit
A summer program geared to training the children to take and pass the “Presidential Physical Fitness” test. The children will also be exposed to other necessary skills to empower them and allow them to grow and become tolerant for each other in an effort to prevent bullying and school violence. This will be the first summer program and it is programmed for the summer of 2011. We hope to expose the children to skills needed to confront issues our children face everyday. Stay tuned for more details.
International Outreach Program
“Los Tuburios” International Outreach
program was developed to bring aid and educational opportunities to
underprivileged children in remote villages of Medellin, Colombia, where
education is not free. Kids United Foundation has been able to provide
educational opportunities, groceries and holiday gifts for more than 500
families in the impoverished villages of Medellin, Colombia since 2005.
Our goal is to build schools, which will
provide a safe environment, basic education and healthy meals daily for
children who would otherwise be lucky to receive one meal per week in “Los
Tuburios” of Colombia. To contribute to children who need your help, click here.
